KBB and merchant service provider Simon Acres Group has launched the latest ‘Industry Legends’ film, featuring an interview with Dids Macdonald OBE, CEO of Anti Copying in Design and Master at The Furniture Makers’ Company (FMC).
Anti Copying in Design is the UK’s leading design and intellectual property campaigning organisation.
The Furniture Makers’ Company is the City of London livery company and charity for the furnishing industry. It fosters the industry by supporting those in need, nurturing skills and expertise and inspiring excellence.
“It is always inspiring to talk with Dids,” says Simon Acres Group Principal Director, Simon Acres.
“She has so much passion for our industry, has done a tremendous amount of work to champion welfare and promoting how The Furniture Makers’ Company can help those in need.
“I hope that our legends film will help companies understand what FMC offers and the important role they play in educating and training furniture makers of the future as well as welfare.”
“Our welfare activities are one of the industry’s best kept secrets,” says Dids. “This is something I am determined to change. We launched our ‘One Step at a Time’ campaign earlier this year and now have 61 companies, representing just under 15,000 employees, signed up to support us.
“I am honoured to be part of the Industry Legend Series, which is doing so much to raise awareness about excellence in training and education and I hope that this film will contribute to a greater understanding about the role of The Furniture Makers’ Company.”The Dids Macdonald film can be found on the Simon Acres Group website seen here.
