Key Account Manager
Location: Berkshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 PA DOE & Bonus
Simon Acres Recruitment is proud to represent a leading company in the industry, seeking an
experienced Key Account Manager to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a
customer-focused and proactive individual to drive new customer acquisition, build relationships
with existing housebuilder customers, and manage the sales cycle from tender to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Development:
• Build and nurture relationships at all levels within regional head offices.
• Develop the territory portfolio with new customer acquisition.
• Work closely with key contacts to create tailored solutions that add value.
• Drive growth in revenue and margin through proactive selling techniques.
• Produce annual sales forecasts and set territory targets.
• Develop a comprehensive business plan to support the sales forecast.
• Create account action plans with clear goals and activity plans.
• Report on activities and objectives via CRM systems and provide monthly updates.
• Own the management of enquiries from start to finish, ensuring timely updates and
outcome tracking.
• Provide commercial intelligence on pricing proposals and enquiry outcomes.
• Coordinate the arrangement of samples and show homes as necessary.
• Oversee project implementation in line with agreed processes.
• Negotiate price increases and manage pricing where applicable.
• Stay informed of market and competitor trends.
• Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong sales performance and knowledge of route-to-market strategies.
• Experience in kitchens, bathrooms, or bedroom design is advantageous.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Strong networking abilities at all levels.
• Proven ability in multi-level solution selling.
• Business acumen and commercial awareness.
• Skilled negotiator with excellent presentation abilities.
• High degree of autonomy and ability to work as part of a team.
• Articulate, professional, and results driven.
• Excellent communicator with strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Proactive and strategic with a structured approach to work.
• Collaborative and able to work independently.
