One of the industries most experienced retailers, Dave Hewitt has offered his thoughts on how kitchen retailers can take their businesses forward as lockdown is eased, on the latest Simon Acres Group (SAGL) Industry Legend interview.
Dave spoke to SAGL director Simon Acres, in a special Industry Legend podcast, as some showrooms open their doors and others are preparing how best to do so.
“With 40 years’ experience in the industry, Dave has a wealth of advice to share,” says Simon. “Covid- 19 has brought many challenges, it will change how people buy, not just people’s habits but how they can physically shop in stores, in accordance with new government guidelines.”
“There is no point looking backwards and playing the blame game, retailers should focus on the future,” says Dave. “ It is important to take stock of all projects that have been disrupted and liaise with the supply chain to get these moving again.
“We will be looking to make our offer as tempting as possible to encourage customers to commit. We will use all of our marketing channels to promote our business, the website, Google, trade directories and others. We believe there will be pent up demand and want to be in a position to make the most of these opportunities.”
